THIS POST CONTAINS DOG PHOTOS! I thought that might get your attention. My dog, Gizmo, has a birthday coming up at the end of the month. I love to celebrate his birthday by spoiling him with special birthday treats, most often homemade cupcakes, which I like to refer to as pupcakes! There are so many different dog-friendly cupcakes (though always check with your vet before giving your dog people-foods) and my dogs like them all. I’ve never been much of a beer drinker. I just don’t care for the bitterness. I’ve also never been to Ireland, though I’m dying to go! I’ve heard from many friends who have visited that Guinness from the source itself tastes so much better than the Guinness they serve in the U.S. Because Guinness is particularly bitter, an acquired taste, it’s apparently also common for college kids and tourists to add black currant juice to the beer to make it more palatable.Continue Reading

Well, another year in Boston and another Super Bowl for the Patriots. This year is an unexciting Super Bowl for me. I don’t particularly care for either team (sorry fellow Bostonians!) so I may be tuning into the Puppy Bowl instead this year. However, I know there are lots of Pats and Eagles fans out there! I also know there are a lot of people who are going to Super Bowl parties who may want to bring delicious treats!
I have never been a fan of spicy foods. I don’t understand why people want to eat foods that cause physical pain. But recently I discovered that often those spicy foods also have a really delicious flavor. I decided I needed to build my tolerance to spice because I am missing out on so many amazing foods and flavors by avoiding it.
