Tis the season of cookies exchanges! I’ve had so many friends requesting recipes to use for cookie exchanges they are participating in. I’ve never been part of one, but I frequently share my Perfectly Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe because it is so easy to make and if you need to make a lot of cookies, easy is so important!

When my husband and I finally decided to spend our wedding gift cards, probably like 2 years after our wedding, one of our purchases was cast iron skillets. We got a really large one, and then a smaller 8″ one. My husband spent a lot of time learning how to care and maintain them and learned that we should have separate cast irons for savory and sweet. I’m a sucker for anything maple. Living in New England I am constantly enticed by various maple items from lattes to meats to donuts. And I’ve tried them all! And they’re almost always delicious. But the go to maple is, of course, maple syrup, which is the perfect breakfast condiment.
