No-Bake Unicorn Pie

Unicorn Pie Crust

It’s (once again) been a while since I’ve given you a new recipe, so I’m coming back strong with an easy, no-bake recipe: Unicorn Pie!  Kellogg’s makes a vanilla cupcake flavored cereal that they call Unicorn cereal.  It is a limited edition flavor, and as far as I knew, it was only available at the Kellogg’s store in New York. Then one day, I’m just minding my own business walking through BJ’s (it’s the New England equivalent of Sam’s Club) and I see a huge box of Unicorn Cereal! It’s probably the equivalent of two family size boxes. I don’t really need that much Unicorn cereal, but it was my only option so I went with it. Continue Reading

Raspberry Rosé Cake

Raspberry Rosé cake with raspberry rosé jam and rosé frosting featuring Rosé Angry Orchard Cider

Just because I’m out of town this week doesn’t mean I’m going to leave you hanging on a recipe!  But I am going to keep this post short and sweet.  Summer will be here before we know it and I can’t think of a better flavor combination than raspberry and rosé! Rosé seems to be trendier this summer than it has before, and rightly so.  Rosé is the perfect summer drink. Light, cool, refreshing, and most importantly, delicious!  And adding raspberries is really just a good idea. Continue Reading

Piña Colada Upside Down Cupcakes

Pina Colada Upside Down Cupcakes

Here in Boston we’re expecting our third nor’easter in a row this week. The first one was all rain, the next one was a few inches of snow, so who knows what to expect this week! But today was spring forward so that means spring is close, right?  Well, I know that Easter is just a few weeks away.  And so is Passover.  Those mean spring, right?! These Piña Colada Upside Down Cupcakes are not Passover friendly (check out my Passover cookie cake inspired by Molly Yeh!), but they are super delicious and they just scream spring! Pots O’ Gold

Pot O' Gold Guinness brownie pots with caramel Irish Whiskey gold mousse

Well, they say March comes in like a lion, and it sure does! That Nor’easter hit Boston hard.  We didn’t get any snow here, but we got a lot of rain and wind and there was a lot of flooding.  I’m holding out hope that it only goes up from here.  March means it’s almost spring. March also means it’s time to start thinking about St. Patrick’s Day and I’m super excited about this recipe. This is a super easy recipe for Pots o’ Gold.

Funfetti Hamantaschen

Sprinkles for Funfetti Hamantaschen

I remember making hamentaschen with my mom when I was younger, but I haven’t made them in years because I’m usually not a huge fan of the cookie. For those who don’t know, hamentaschen are triangle shaped cookies that represent the villain, Haman, of the Jewish holiday, Purim. They are usually similar to a shortbread cookie and are filled with a fruit or poppyseed filling.  As a dessert, it’s just never been the type of cookie that excites me.  So I decided to jazz it up and make one that does excite me: Funfetti Hamantaschen!
