I have never been a fan of spicy foods. I don’t understand why people want to eat foods that cause physical pain. But recently I discovered that often those spicy foods also have a really delicious flavor. I decided I needed to build my tolerance to spice because I am missing out on so many amazing foods and flavors by avoiding it.

Last year I discovered that Marshmallow Fluff is from Somerville, a city right outside of Boston, and that every year Somerville has a Fluff Festival. I also found out that this festival has a baking contest, so of course I have to enter. If you didn’t see my entry from last year, I made these.
I finally found it. My whole entire life I did not think it was possible to make brownies from scratch that taste better than brownies from a box mix. So I know these National food days get out of hand, but bear with me here. Sunday is National German Chocolate Cake. It’s also my dad’s birthday. And German Chocolate Cake is his favorite cake. Is your mind blown?! Mine was.
