I’ve lived in Boston for about 2 years now, and I just recently discovered that Marshmallow Fluff was invented here! Well…Somerville to be exact. And not only that, but there is an annual Fluff Festival, complete with a cooking contest!

I considered not entering the contest, but ended up submitting a recipe at the last minute. I didn’t win, but I am so glad I didn’t bail on the contest, and I am thrilled with how this dessert turned out! A little bit of southern and a little bit of Massachusetts: sweet potato cupcakes with a marshmallow ganache and maple bourbon marshmallow frosting!
