Cinnamon Toast Crunch Puppy Chow
Puppy Chow, which some people call Muddy Buddies, might be the most addicting snack to exist. Chocolate, peanut butter, powdered sugar, what’s not to love? But if we’re being honest, the Chex is really just a vehicle to get all that sweet delicious goodness into your mouth. The Chex doesn’t really add anything but a crunch. So what if we replaced the Chex with something that has a bit more pizzazz? Something that adds to the delicious, addicting flavors of the treat. So I bring to you, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Puppy Chow. Let’s add more deliciousness to an already delicious treat!
I love this recipe because you can have this super scrumptious snack in no time at all! All you have to do is melt the chocolate, peanut butter, and butter till smooth, pour it over the cereal, stir it up till the cereal is coated in that smooth chocolate peanut butter, put it all in a freezer bag with some powdered sugar, and shake it all up till everything is covered in powdered sugar. It’s really that easy! And with those ingredients, you know it’s going to be good.
If you have a peanut allergy, you could easily replace the peanut butter with almond butter or sunflower butter. And you can use whatever chocolate you have – milk, dark, semi-sweet. I like to use chips or chunks, but if you don’t have them you can use bars or larger chocolate, you’ll just want to chop it before you melt it. It will melt quicker and more evenly if it’s in smaller pieces.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Puppy Chow is a great snack for parties or game days, or other gatherings with friends, or you can be like me and just make the whole big batch for yourself because you can’t get enough. To each their own! No matter what you make it for, you will not regret it, and neither will the lucky friends who you share it with…if there is any left to share!
