Salted Caramel Maple Bars

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Silicone spatula (a wooden spoon works too!)
  • 9x13 baking pan

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce 11.5 oz jar
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt Diamond Crystal

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper.
  • Combine butter and sugar.
  • Beat eggs, caramel, and syrup into the sugar mix.
  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt, and mix until smooth.
  • Spread into the lined pan and bake for 20-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely and cut into squares.

Notes

You can use homemade or store-bought salted caramel sauce. You can also use regular caramel sauce and add 1 teaspoon of sea salt for every cup of caramel sauce.
