Notes
For the fudgiest brownies, cool overnight before slicing. To dig in sooner, chill the brownies in the refrigerator for 10-20 minutes before slicing to help cut cleaner squares. For a fun and boozy variation, set the cherry juice aside and soak the cherries in bourbon, vodka, or rum overnight before adding the cherries to the brownies (drain the booze and use for a fun cocktail). For triple chocolate brownies, dip the cherries in melted chocolate and let set before adding them to the brownie batter. These brownies can be baked in two 8x8 pans instead of 9x13 if preferred.
