Salted Caramel Maple Bars
I love fall! I love the weather in the fall, and I cannot get enough of two very popular fall flavors: salted caramel and maple. (Sorry, pumpkin…)
I really got into salted caramel when Starbucks released the salted caramel mocha a number of years back. I look forward to fall every year because of this drink. Since then, the flavor has really taken off. In fact, my grocery store has a whole endcap of random salted caramel products – water, pancake mix, apple juice, you name it.
As for maple, Starbucks just released a maple pecan latte. Dunkin’ Donuts just released a maple pecan coffee. I’ve been drinking the Peet’s maple latte for years. I love maple. Ever since I’ve moved to New England, it’s everywhere, all year round. But especially in the fall. And I can’t get enough!
And speaking to this grocery store endcap, one of the products I found is a salted caramel maple syrup. WHAT?!?! My favorite fall flavors in one single product! Why haven’t I made my favorite fall flavors in one single dessert?!
So now I have. These bars are sweet, sticky, gooey, cakey, and heavenly. I did use the salted caramel maple syrup to make these, but I know this is a unique product and likely hard to find, so regular maple syrup will work just as well. You can also make your own caramel sauce if you’re brave enough! Enjoy these anywhere, as long as it’s outside (before it gets too cold). Happy fall, y’all!
